I have been in china for 20 months now. I really enjoy my stay here and the organization helps a lot. We have a good relationship with good communication, and any problems have been quickly resolved. The SEAIE staff are really friendly and helpful.

I think many people will have different reasons to come, and different expectations of china, but for me it was really to experience a culture that is wildly different to mine, to travel and to see if teaching was a career that suited me.

China has been everything I wanted and more. I have met many wonderful people, travelled to many places, and taken part in many cultural experiences.Read more...

I think most people this will be an incredibly rewarding experience.

The advice I would give to anyone considering, or starting on this program is to go with the flow, accept that things don't always happen as you might expect them, and embrace every opportunity to take part in the activities at your school, and every opportunity to explore Sichuan, and the rest of China while you are here.

I knew friends who had moved to China to teach English and loved it, so I decided to give it a try, and it was the best decision of my life!

I decided to move to Chengdu after many amazing testimonials, which turned out to be entirely true. I used SEAIE (Sichuan Education Association for International Exchange) who were very friendly and helped me every step of the way, from organising Visa's etc. from home to providing housing and getting me settled in when I arrived.

My placement is at a kindergarten just a bus ride away, I spend my weekdays teaching English to the sweetest children I've ever met and work alongside such fun, friendly and helpful staff! I love my new home here and Read more...it's so interesting to be involved in such a different culture.

The people here are friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier and Chengdu itself is amazing. I now live in a city where I can grab a taxi at the weekend and head off to see Pandas, or jump on a bus and 10 minutes later see stunning parks and beautiful temples.

No two days are the same here. It's an amazing opportunity and I cannot express how highly I recommend you experience life here!
